International Credit Controller

We are looking for an international credit controller to join our head office close to Lyon.

YOUR MISSIONS
As part of a team of 3 people reporting to the Financial and Administrative Director, you will be in charge of managing and following up customer debt recovery in France and at an international level in order to minimise the risk of non-payment and optimise company cash flow.
Your main missions:
Credit management
- Monitor and analyse client accounts at an international level
- Identify and resolve client disputes in collaboration with teams from sales and legal
- Put into place and monitor recovery plans
Recovery
- Issue reminders to clients (by telephone or in writing) for the payment of overdue invoices
- Negotiate payment schedules
- Coordinate with debt recovery firms and lawyers in the event of disputes
Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare debt recovery tracking and performance indicator reports (DSO, aging report…)
- Analyse client risk and recommendations for credit limits
- Participate in drawing up cash flow forecasts
Improving Procedures
- Put forward improvements to debt management procedures and internal procedures.
- Contribute to the digitalisation of recovery tools
YOUR PROFILE
Qualifications and experience
- Degree (Bac +3/+5) in Finance, Accounting, Management or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Credit Controller, ideally in an international context.
Technical skills
- You master debt recovery techniques in France and at an international level
- Knowledge of international commercial regulations and practices
- Knowledge of international markets and cultural specificities linked to debt recovery
- Good grasp of debt management IT and software tools (ERP, Excel, etc.)
- Fluent English (minimum level C1)
- Knowledge of a second foreign language would be a plus

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Well-organised and disciplined
- A team player with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Permanent full-time position based in Dardilly (west of Lyon)
35 hours per week
